MONKEY SEE/HEAR/DO

For my Masterpiece Topic, the most effective learning modality is the Auditory. I should start practicing my speech and raising my voice to a level where the audience can hear me.

A BRAVE NEW END OF THE WORLD

The idea of not having a family in that kind of world sounds depressing, we know that they all came from a single cell that were scientifically multiplied through Bokanovsky's 'thing' but the those people from the world state don't even think that they are most likely to be twins and they're brothers and sisters. They do not have the mindset of being able to be loyal to a single partner becuase that's how they were 'trained' and raised. Now that I think about this, I realised how they were raised like the animals on a circus who were trained with pain. Some even say that they feel connected to the animal, that there's a bond between them but it's just a way to hide the cruel torture they did to make the animal obey their orders. Connecting it with the way the scientist shocked the babies and torturing their young minds.

THE END OF A BRAVE NEW WORLD

The way that the novel Brave New World end is when Helmholtz and Bernard was exiled from the World State. John run away and went to an isolated lighthouse. In that place, John self-punish himself by whipping, he jumped in the thorny bushes. Days passed and reporters slowly showing up in John's place. They were trying to interview him on a lot of reasons. The interview was published in newspapers and more people started to show up in lighthouse including Lenina. When John saw Lenina he started to whip her and people witnessed this abuse and started to punching each other while singing orgy-porgy. They took soma, all of them including John. The next day, John woke up ashamed of himself becuase he remebered all the thing he did the day before. The last paragraph explains the details on how John's feet moving in different direction like a compass needle while his body hanged in the air

BRAVE NEW WORLD ESSAY

We met a lot of people with different thoughts and attitude in the world they live in and how they faced those differences in the story Brave New World. There's Bernard, Lenina, Linda, Mustapha Mond, Helmholtz, and lots of extra characters. In this essay, I'm going to choose John the Savage as my subject in this essay. John was the only character introduced who was born from a mother's womb. He grows up in the poverty of the Savage Reservation together with his mother, Linda. His mother was hated because she slept with other men who are also living in there and one of them is the pope. It was also on of the reasons why John hated the people in that rich-deprived land. It also describe how John does not fit with socializing with other people.
Bernard was the one who brought John and Linda to the World State. There, John discovered people who have different view and beliefs in the world. John was viewed as a unique human being by the people of the World State.
John became the center of attention of the story after Bernard and Lenina visits the Reservation.
John's knowledge on Shakespeare's works helped him in few important ways. It helped him in a way the he was able to express his thoughts and actions, it also helped him in keeping up with the World State values and it was able to gave him the ideas on being able to hold a conversation with Mustapha Mond. His way of thinking was also noticed when was sneaking in Lenina's room and quoted Shakespeare. John doesn't accept the shallow happiness in the Word State. When he was not able to reconcile with his love for Lenina, he committed suicide.
The story showed how John was able to discovered a new world that he was not used to and trying to cope up with it's values but in the end he was not able to and it lead him to his own suffering and death.

IGNITE TALK

My big question/masterpiece is all about how a person can avoid culture shock and cope up with the culture and tradition of the new place they are going to live in.
Talking with someone who have the experience and a bit of researching online. Almost all people who started living in place that is unknown to them always have the feeling of awe for the first time seeing their new home and also the feeling of anxiety from their new surroundings. One connection I see is that is somehow relates to the last story we read like being able to live in a place with different people, beliefs, atmosphere, and a lot more. I need additional research about the topic.

BRAVE NEW WORLD CHAPTER 18 NOTES

John decided to leave the place. He fled to a lighthouse. He started begging the gods for forgiveness. He did a lot of things that were cruel for the sake of being cleansed. He brought supplies with him that can help him survive the outside world. He made a garden. One day while some workers were driving by, they saw the savage doing some self-punishment. They spread what they saw around the civilization and then reporters visits John's place. They asked questions about what was happening in that place. He answered them and then kicked them down.
John still thinks about Lenina.
When John saw Lenina, he started to whip her with his whip.
Then everyone started hitting each other and doing orgy-porgy after.
After remembering what happened, John was embarrassed of the activities he tooked part in.
